Technology generally, and computers and the web in particular, like any one resource, should not be viewed as the ONLY resource and is not always the most appropriate choice.
| If the computer is already started and the dictionary program is running or the machine is connected to the web, then it's probably faster to find a word on the computer. If you have to start the computer and/or the program, then it might be faster to use a book.

| It is always dangerous to do something for the first time while you are tutoring. Try coming in a little early or staying a little late or trying something from home to make sure you're comfortable yourself with the things you'd like to try with the child.

| You might just want to stick with your comfort zone and computers make you nervous. If so, try reading these materials anyway, and if you'd like to try anything but have questions, please let me know (see the contact/help page). Perhaps I can help.

| The world wide web sometimes seems like a world wide cobweb. Some material there is outdated, some is completely erroneous, and some things that were there yesterday are not there today (and vice versa). This can be frustrating, but actually that's the way the world is... the web just makes access to all of it easier and faster.
