Women have a special relationship to chocolate… they don't call it HimHe, after all, it's Hershey!

The guy found a bottle bobbing on the ocean and opened it up.  Out popped a genie who gave him a wish.  He wished he could be irresistible to women… and Poof!  He was a box of chocolates!

Karen's Hershey Bar Mine

Here are a couple more pictures of the "Mine at Hershey Bar".  We decided to go for a gold mine theme after spending a weekend near Sonora and Angels Camp recently.  We toured a working gold mine while we were there.  We made the mine itself out of brownies (several boxes of whatever brownie mix was on sale that day. Some of it was cooked too long, some not enough, and some just right, but it worked out perfectly for the various textures of the mountain). The cart was made out of some square truffles with the insides scooped out. We cut them and melted them together to form a cart. The wheels were round chocolate halloween candy, held together with wooden skewers. The gold in the cart was foil-wrapped hershey's kisses. The miners were made out of tootsie rolls held together by toothpicks. The track for the cart was made out of tootsie rolls that had been stretched to a string. The gold pan held by one of the miners was made from one hershey's kiss that had been scooped out. The almond inside looked like gold filings. It was a fun party and we really enjoyed creating our mine.
