It's easier to figure out the sound system with more than one example, and learning is reinforced by listening AND speaking. | |
Look up the word in a dictionary. Some online versions have audio files with pronunciations you can click on. It's also an opportunity to show the child how to sue the pronunciation guide of a dictionary. | Encarta is installed at the center for online use and it includes an English-English dictionary as well as several bilingual dictionaries. The center also has several children's dictionaries. | |
